Abercrombie Jewelry buys luxury watches in Austin, including Rolex, Patek Philippe, Omega, Cartier, and other fine timepiece brands. Our experienced team evaluates reference, condition, and completeness on-site and gives you a same-day cash offer with no pressure and no obligation.
Luxury watches are one of the most reference-specific categories in fine jewelry and collectibles. The same brand and model can vary by tens of thousands of dollars depending on the reference number, production year, dial variation, case material, and whether the watch comes with its original box, papers, and service history. At our Westlake showroom, we evaluate watches with that level of detail, not generic brand-and-model pricing. We’re the trusted buyers in Austin that clients trust when the difference between a fair offer and a low one comes down to knowing exactly what you have.
We’re buying watches in working condition and watches that need service. We’ll buy watches with complete documentation and those with none. To make a fair offer, we need the watch itself and as much information as you can provide about its history.
Brands and References We Buy

**Rolex**, Submariner, GMT-Master II, Datejust, Day-Date, Explorer, Daytona, Sea-Dweller, Oyster Perpetual, and other references in steel, gold, and two-tone. Reference number and production year significantly affect value within the Rolex lineup, and we evaluate both.
**Patek Philippe**, Nautilus, Aquanaut, Calatrava, Complications, and Grand Complications. Patek Philippe carries some of the highest per-unit values in the watch market, and we evaluate their pieces with the specific attention they require.
**Omega**, Speedmaster, Seamaster, Constellation, and De Ville references. Vintage Omega from the 1950s through 1970s carries strong collector interest, and we evaluate period examples against that collector market.
**Cartier**, Tank, Santos, Ballon Bleu, and vintage Cartier dress watches. Signed Cartier cases in gold carry both watch value and gold content, and we assess both.
**Audemars Piguet, IWC, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Vacheron Constantin, Breitling, TAG Heuer, Tudor**, we evaluate other fine watch brands with the same reference-specific approach.
**Vintage watches**, pre-1980 watches from any significant maker are evaluated against collector demand for the specific reference, dial configuration, and case condition. Vintage watch collecting is a deep category, and we’ve been participating in that market since 1989.For clients selling diamond or gold jewelry alongside watches, our diamond buyers and gold jewelry buyers handle both categories in the same appointment.
How We Evaluate Luxury Watches
Our evaluation process starts with identification. We’ll confirm the reference number, model, and case material from the watch itself, then cross-check against manufacturer records and current market data.
The case condition is examined in detail. Polishing history is noted; an unpolished case with sharp lugs and original bevels is more desirable to collectors than a heavily polished example of the same reference. Case size, lug width, and any modifications to the original configuration are assessed.
The dial condition is examined under magnification. Original dials in period-correct configuration, including original hands, indices, and any aging appropriate to the production period, are distinguished from refinished, repainted, or modified examples.
Movement condition is assessed based on service history and visible external indicators. We note whether the watch keeps time accurately and if it shows any signs of moisture intrusion or movement damage.
Completeness significantly affects value. An original box and papers (commonly referred to as “full set” in the watch market) can add 20 to 40 percent to the value of certain references. We’ll ask about documentation before finalizing any offer. For estate watches that arrive alongside jewelry collections, our estate jewelry purchasing team handles full estate lots, watches, jewelry, silver, and coins in a single appointment.
Box, Papers, and Service History

Original manufacturer box and papers are the most impactful completeness factors for most luxury watch references. For current-production Rolex and Patek Philippe, a full set typically commands a meaningful premium over the watch alone. For vintage references, original documents add historical documentation value.
Service papers from authorized dealers, especially recent service records, support the mechanical condition claim and matter to buyers who plan to wear the watch. We factor service history into the offer when documentation is available.
If you don’t have any documentation, the watch is still available for purchase. We’ll evaluate from the piece itself and adjust the offer based on what we can confirm.
Condition and Wear
We buy luxury watches in most conditions. Daily-wear patina on a vintage Rolex is part of the character collectors value; we don’t penalize period-appropriate wear on vintage pieces. Heavy polishing, case damage, missing crown, and scratched crystals are all noted and factored into the offer.
Watches that need service are still available for purchase. We factor likely service costs into the offer and give you a clear breakdown of what’s affecting the number. A watch in need of a full service at an authorized dealer is worth less than the same watch just serviced, and we’ll tell you by how much and why.
Consignment for High-Value References
For high-value or rare watch references, consignment sometimes produces a better outcome than an immediate purchase. Our consignment services display select watches in our showroom and market them to buyers specifically looking for that reference. A commission applies to the sale, but with the right reference in the right condition, the collector-market result can meaningfully exceed an immediate offer.
We’ll tell you during the evaluation whether consignment is realistic for your watch. If outright purchase is the better path, we’ll say so and make the offer directly.
